Spiritual Development Small Groups

Humans need community - real community with deep listening and belonging, where we can spiritually ground and grow togeher. Small spiritual development groups at Foothills are offered seasonally or yearly.

We know that it can be quite a journey to choose a new church home, or perhaps to choose a church home for the very first time. You might have lots of questions, thoughts and wonderings – which is why we created BaseCamp.

BaseCamp is offered quarterly as a one day retreat with a special half-day childcare-included option (plus extra Zoom sessions) for parents of young children.

BaseCamp will equip you with the tools and relationships to connect into our church community, to engage Unitarian Universalism, and to find your place in our Foothills mission to unleash courageous love in Northern Colorado and beyond. If you are a newcomer or are seeking a place to renew, BaseCamp is your next step.

Journey groups offer an opportunity to come together and build community in multi-generational, structured small groups.

Journey groups are offered seasonally in Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. Each session as a particular theme, such as dealing with change, practicing hope, or connecting with our past stories.

Whether you are a new(ish) to Foothills or a long-time member, journey groups are for you.

Wellspring is a yearlong small group experience focused on spiritual deepening. At its heart are five interlocking practices that act as invitations to depth.

  1. A commitment to daily spiritual practice
  2. Participation in a twice a month small group gathering
  3. Individual work with a spiritual director
  4. Weekly Readings and resources for knowledge and reflection
  5. Reflection and commitment to live out our values in the work

Wellspring is for you if you’ve been involved at Foothills Unitarian for awhile, including participating in other spiritual deepening groups, or have practiced Unitarian Universalism elsewhere.
