High School Youth

Our High School Youth Group meets during our 11 AM Sunday Service.

High School is a time of maturing independence, and of exploring and questioning.

Our High School Youth Group for Grades 9-12 meets during our 11 am Church Service

In our High School Youth Group our kids will experience –

  • Beloved Community – by developing a caring community of acceptance and trust, our youth will experience deep, authentic and long lasting friendships with peers and caring adult group leaders.
  • Spiritual Development – through individual and group spiritual practices, we will experience awe, gratitude, wonder, appreciation and a sense of interconnection.
  • Values that Extend Beyond Sundays – we will explore our Unitarian Universalits values and discern our  deepest personal values and how they apply to our daily lives and support us in our decisions and actions.
  • A Learning Journey to Pine Reservation – providing a work experience, exposure to Lakota culture, and most importantly, opportunities to build relationships with the Lakota people.
  • A connection with the Foothills as their religious home – Youth attend the first part of the church service every Sunday before going to their Youth Group in our new Community Wing. This grounds them in Unitarian Universalism and a sense of deep belonging to our larger Foothills Community.

This Group is Led by Screened youth Advisors under the Direction of Eleanor VanDeusen – Director of Family Ministry
