No Matter What Happens — In a world of constant change and uncertainty, Foothills Unitarian stands as a place of belonging, courage, and resilience. Your 2025 pledge ensures we can continue to show up powerfully in our community, providing support and connection through life’s biggest moments. Join us in building a future rooted in love, justice, and hope—no matter what.

Why Pledge?

Your Pledge Powers Our Mission: Pledging is how we fund our work. Your commitment enables us to maximize our impact while being fiscally responsible.

Your Pledge Supports our Operating Costs: Sunday services, program materials and supplies, partnership programs including our Pop Up No Cost Market (Food Bank, housing families experiencing homelessness in our building, ongoing justice efforts, maintaining our building and group spaces, staff salaries, Utilities, building maintenance, etc. are funded by pledges. Pledging more helps us grow and implement our values even more powerfully in the world.

Pledging vs. Plate Giving: Each week, we give half our plate to a community partner who is making a difference. It funds a much smaller portion of our overall budget compared to pledging. Pledging is what sustains the core mission and operations of Foothills and allows us to invest in long-term partnerships.

Everyone Can Pledge: Whether you’re a member or not, you can make a pledge to support the shared work of building courageous love and belonging in our local community.

Automatic Pledge Payments: When you set up your pledge through your bank or credit card, it provides stable and predictable income for Foothills throughout the year, ensuring we can plan effectively.

Privacy and Security: Church Center exceeds industry standards (PCI Compliance) in information, ensuring your personal information is protected with every donation.

How Much Should I Pledge?

Your pledge is the personally meaningful amount of funds you set aside to invest in our shared work at Foothills. Pledges range from $5/month to $5000/month. We encourage congregants to think about a “UU Tithe,” by committing 5% of their income to Foothills Unitarian and 5% to other organizations making values-aligned impact in our community and world.

Over 70% of our operating income comes from pledges. By committing to give in 2025, you help us manage our budget and ensure we can maximize the opportunities we have to make an impact. Whether you’re returning or pledging for the first time, we encourage you to consider a meaningful pledge that enables our mission.

We hope you’ll consider the following when choosing your pledge amount:

  • Returning Pledgers: Consider a meaningful increase to help with rising inflation, and increased operating costs due to expanded offerings with our new space.
  • Everyone: Consider committing a percentage of your income (see below).
  • Everyone: Consider joining our Chalice Circle, a group of lead donors who give at least $5000 per year to operations
