Series Spiritual Practice
We encourage everyone to keep up (or take back up) the orienting practices we started in You Are Here. Take a look here for more information.
If you’d like to try another practice, we also encourage an evening practice of Centering Prayer. Doing this practice in the evening is a nice complement to the morning practices from You Are Here, and is a great way to help foster healthy sleep in these coming weeks.
If you are new to this practice or need a reminder (or appreciate a guide), Rev. Gretchen leads a good example of this practice in the video below.
We always choose one song for each of our worship series that we sing or perform in every Sunday in the series. It’s usually something you’ll find yourself singing later in the day, without even realizing it. Because music connects in the deepest parts of our brains, the idea is that we’ll connect more fully with theme, and bring it into our everyday lives.
For this series, we’ve chosen “Small Sweet Step” by Zo Tobi, which really gets at both the challenge of the moments we face every day, and invites us to think about how those moments can connect us in with a larger movement. It also has a sweet chorus we think you’ll be singing all month!

The service on Sunday is just 1 of 168 hours in your week.
Which means that the way to make Sunday have a real impact on our lives, we need to find ways to bring it into the rest of the week.
One of the ways we’re doing this is by focusing our weekly email as a follow up to the prior Sunday. We include all the major elements of the service – from a link to the sermon to the text of readings, resources we used, music we sang, and a reminder of the key take away.
We hope this offers you a touchstone throughout your week to return to and to go deeper – and to pass it on to a friend who you think would appreciate it.
On Sunday, October 25, all proceeds from the plate will support the Larimer County Untied Way fire to help those affected by the Cameron Peak and East Troublesome fires. To give, click the Share the Plate link or text the dollar amount to 84321.
On November 1 through 22, the Share the Plate recipient will be the 2020 Habitat Multifaith Build.
