REGISTER HERE FOR OUR MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP

Our group for Middle School focus on developing a strong community of care and connection with peers and adult mentors. This Group will closely follow our church sermon themes – allowing your family to all grow together.

Each Sunday begins with Middle School youth joining their parents in the sanctuary at 10am for the first 20-30 minutes of the service. Then they head over to our education building for stories, community building, games, art, and connecting conversations.

These experiences help Middle School youth to –

  • Grow in Self Awareness
  • Connect in a Caring Community
  • Experience Mystery and Awe
  • Learn about Unitarian Universalism
  • Live our Foothills mission of “Unleashing Courageous Love in Northern Colorado and Beyond.”

Middle School – a time of rapid change

In middle school kids are changing incredibly fast—in body, mind, and emotions—you may feel you hardly know them anymore. One day they are as responsible and cooperative as an adult; the next day they are more like a six-year-old. One minute they are sunny and enthusiastic. The next they are gloomy and silent. Keep cool. These kids are in process; they’re becoming more self-sufficient. Their biggest task is checking out what independence feels like.

Our goal in our Sunday Group for Middle School is to offer a safe space of acceptance where kids’ can explore their spiritual beliefs and values and how those values ca help them to navigate the complex and challenging middle school years.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”29110″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
