Crafting vision for our courageous future

We are living in a time of complexity, change, and possibility. As a community of courageous love, we know we cannot look away. This is our moment to listen deeply, imagine boldly, and choose together how we will respond.

Over the next several months, Foothills will engage in a visioning process to discern the future we are called to create. Inspired by the UUA’s national Meet the Moment framework and General Assembly, theme, we’re inviting every member of our community into shared reflection through three essential questions:

  • What is the moment we are in?
  • What are the most urgent and important needs of this moment?
  • What do our values call us to do in response to this moment?

This process is more than planning. It is spiritual work. It is how we will name the difference we’re here to make in the next five years, grounded in our mission, shaped by our people, and responsive to the world as it is.

Think of it like a mosaic. Each insight, story, and question is a piece of something larger. When we bring our pieces together with care and courage, a shared vision begins to emerge.

Everyone in the Foothills community will have a chance to participate in Meet the Moment during our congregation-wide engagement this fall (October–December).

But if you’re interested in playing a deeper role by participating in small group conversation, story sharing, and early reflection, we’d love to hear from you. This requires a commitment to three 2-hour sessions in July and August.

Fill out the form below to let us know you’re open to being part of a Wisdom Cohort. Your voice matters. Let’s meet this moment together.
