The Vision, in our own words
This vision didn’t just come from a committee – it came from all of us.
Foothills has grown into a large and vital congregation, serving hundreds of individuals and families every week and partnering with neighbors across Northern Colorado. To sustain this work, we must strengthen the financial and organizational foundation that supports it.
- We claim Unitarian Universalism as a religion where we each promise to cultivate the humility to be transformed, the moral courage to act, and the resilience to endure and thrive.
- All generations experience enduring relationships across lifestage and difference, ensuring a resilient and interdependent church community where people freely and mutually give and receive care, trust, and support.
- We honor the radical interdependence of life and move in solidarity with our community partners, wisely discerning how to apply our resources to ensure a more caring and just Northern Colorado.
These are our words. They will guide our ministry for the years ahead.
Resourcing Our Vision
A vision is only as real as we’re willing to resource it. We’re here because an earlier generation built for the future, but the mortgage came in far larger than planned, and today our debt and rising operating costs press hard against the very ministry we’ve just committed to. Love, set free is how we close that gap: Build retires our mortgage so our budget can breathe, and Sustain carries the day-to-day ministry all year long. Here’s where you come in.
