Frequently Asked Questions

What is the membership at Foothills Unitarian Church? 588 and growing!

Are there programs for children? Yes, we have an excellent Religious Exploration program for all ages, including preschool. We also have a nursery to care for infants and toddlers so their parents may attend church.

Besides Sunday services, what other opportunities are there for spiritual growth and discovery? There are workshops, small groups such as “Explorations,” groups for spiritual practices, evening Vespers services, and the “Base Camp” class for newcomers.

What kinds of social action is Foothills involved in? Our larger projects include: Faith Family Hospitality which serves families experiencing homelessness, the Climate Justice Group, Justice in the Middle East, and the first neighborhood site for the Food Bank for Larimer County, plus “Share the Plate” each Sunday.

What social groups are available? We have groups for moms, dads, women, men, young adults, seniors and youth. See our Ongoing Groups and our Sustaining Spiritual Practices on our website, and subscribe to our newsletter for more information.

What do I wear to church? We are a pretty relaxed church. Some of us wear suits or dresses, while others show up in cycling clothes or jeans and t-shirts. Just wear what’s comfortable for you!

How do I acquire a name tag? Just fill out a nametag form in our order of service.

What happens between services? We have a social time with coffee and tea between services. This time may also be used for discussion groups and other meetings.

Where can I park? There are two parking lots, or you may park on the street near the church. We have parking spots for persons with disabilities in both lots.  There are also visitor spots available in both lots.

If I’m interested in joining, what are the steps? We recommend that you participate in one of our small groups and attend the Base Camp class. We also invite you to chat with our assistant minister,
Rev. Sean Neil-Barron at 970-493-5906 or to discuss your interest.
