There's Room at the Table

At Foothills, we believe there’s always room at the table. When someone in our community is hungry, struggling, or left out, our response is simple: we pull up more chairs.

The Foothills Food Security Fund ensures that everyone has access to the most basic form of belonging a shared meal and the assurance that they are not alone.

This fund was born from the collective generosity of our congregation, who gave over $10,000 last June before we even knew exactly what the need would be. That trust and love have now grown into a long-term effort to meet food insecurity head-on — especially as federal furloughs and cuts to SNAP benefits hit our neighbors hard.

Latest Update – November 4, 2025

Right now, the Fund is helping:

  • Foothills families who have lost SNAP benefits bridge the gap for groceries.

  • Dairy workers and immigrant families connected through Project Protect and Church World Service.

  • Community members affected by the federal shutdown, providing grocery cards and emergency support.

We’re distributing microgrants and food cards directly where they’re needed most. This is how we keep making room one table, one family, one act of care at a time.
