“White Families Talk About Race” Study Group – Information Meeting

July 9 @ 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm MDT

“White Families’ Guide for Talking About Racism” Study Group

Join us for a 4-session guided study of this downloadable workbook by Black educators and authors Naomi O’Brien and LaNesha Tabb!  Upon registration you will receive access to a self-paced family exploration of racism, including what it means; how we recognize it, participate in it, and can work to combat it; and how to understand our own privilege and use it to be allies. It is specifically designed for White families ready to start having important conversations with your children about racism and actively planning what your family can do to help.

While this program is designed for White families, guides for Black families and POC families are also available from the authors.

We will meet on July 9th to introduce the program, and get together online 3 more times to share our experiences and connect and support one another as we work through the guide. The first 3 sessions are designed for adults; we invite children to join us in the 3rd session so we can celebrate our hard work and learning together!

Study group will meet on Thursday evenings at 7 pm July 23, August 6 & 13
