Coming of Age Information Meeting
May 2 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm MDT
Join us for this gathering to learn more about our Coming of Age Intensive for kids rising into 6th 7th or 8th grade
It is traditional to mark the milestone of young Unitarian Universalist teenagers transition into their young adult years with a special “Coming of Age” experience. Here at Foothills we often do this in the spring months but in this unique pandemic year we are offering a summer Coming of Age Intensive experience for our youth rising into 6th 7th or 8th grades.
Our Coming of Age Intensive will look like a four day Summer Camp on the Foothills Unitarian Campus on Wednesday July 14th thru Saturday July 17th.
During this intensive we will learn more about our living tradition of Unitarian Universalism through active activities, art, justice making and interaction with our Family Ministry Staff and Ministers. We will also have a chance to think about and articulate their own beliefs and values. The Intensive will culminate in a camp out sleepover on the church lawn on Friday July 16th and a Coming of Age Ceremony and Celebration on Saturday July 18th.
This Coming of Age Intensive is a fantastic way to connect our Middle School Youth to each other and to the larger Foothills community.
