Caste Book Discussion
March 2 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm MST
An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, repeating until March 30, 2021
Join us for a six-week series of thoughtful conversations about Isabel Wilkerson’s new, groundbreaking book Caste. Wilkerson argues that, beyond race and class, there is a powerful caste system that is deeply embedded in the United States. Linking the caste systems of America, India, and Nazi Germany, Wilkerson explores eight pillars that underlie all these caste systems, including divine will, bloodlines, and stigma. The book is a beautiful weaving together of research and stories, rendering it both deeply challenging and extremely hard to put down. We have yet to meet anyone who has read this book who hasn’t immediately felt the need to get it into other people’s hands.
Six Tuesday evenings Feb. 16 – Mar. 30, skipping Mar. 16 for spring break week. Please plan to miss no more than one session as registration is limited.
