Our Elementary School Groups

Our Sunday groups for Elementary Kids meet during our church services

UU Stories: 1st and 2nd grades – ages 6-7 | 10:00AM & 11:30AM

In this group children explore Unitarian Universalist Principles through beautifully illustrated picture books and engaging activities.

Helping Heroes: 3rd and 4th grades – ages 8-9 | 10:00AM & 11:30AM

In this group kids explore how Unitarian Universalism translates into life choices and everyday actions. They hear stories of people who put their faith into heroic action and they affirm the many different ways they can act on their UU values.

Conscience Keepers: 5th and 6th grades – ages 10-11 | 10:00AM & 11:30AM

This group helps older kids to clarify their understanding of right and wrong and make choices based on Unitarian Universalist values. It equips them for moving safely and productively through their preteen and teen years, as they navigate increasing risk and responsibility.

Have an Elementary Aged Child?

We can’t wait to meet them and grow together in body, mind and spirit.

It’s Just a Phase: Elementary School

Elementary school kids are busy and rapidly changing

Children in elementary school have busy days filled with school, activities, computer games, fun and then fights with their friends. They have a lot of natural curiosity about living things and enjoy having pets. They are still impulsive but are beginning to think and plan ahead. They have a thousand questions. This age group has good and bad days just like adults. As they move into their preteen years, some are still “little kids” and others are quite mature. Some are already entering puberty, with body, emotions, and attitude changes. These children begin to think logically and they want to “do church” – learn how we worship, serve and live out our faith.
