Hello friends…I don’t know about you, but my heart sank with the news this evening. It was different than how it sank the last time they announced we’d be going all online. Because then, it was hard – OK, impossible – but it was temporary. But this time….the second time in 6 months we’ve gotten the news that our kids would be moving to all-online home-based learning experience – can you believe this crazy time we are living in?! This time, it was different.
Katie Watkins will start officially on July 27th, and between now and then will be beginning to learn more about our church and our systems. We will be setting up conversations with our finance and stewardship teams, as well as some open conversations so that you can get to know her as well.

In response to racial injustice exposed and resisted… the question I hear most is: what can we do?
It’s been a difficult week of news. We crossed the grim milestone of 100,000 deaths from COVID19, and stories of racialized violence and injustice echo across the country. None of this is a surprise, exactly. But that doesn’t make it any less devastating, or wrong.
