Open House Invitation

I have news that in the before times wouldn’t have been newsworthy at all: this Sunday, I’ll be at the church building! And so will Rev. Sean, Rev. Elaine, most of our staff, and a bunch of our lay leaders!

See, before COVID, this was definitely not a big deal. Ministers showing up at the church building on Sunday happened every Sunday for the prior 120 years!! But after sixteen months of connecting with you from my home office… this Sunday we’re starting the process of returning!

We’re going slow with intention, starting this Sunday (July 18th) with an Open House. You can come anytime between noon and 4 pm. The building will be open for you to “say hello,” get a tour, and more!

If you’re new, we’ll be doing a special tour of the building at 1:00 pm just for newcomers.

At 2:00 pm, our Building Expansion Team members will walk the grounds of the planned expansion with us.

At 3:00 pm, we have a specially designated time for families to meet up and for children to play on the playground.

But really – come anytime that works for you! It’ll just be great to say hello and see each other on the church grounds. And, if you can’t make it Sunday, don’t worry. There are a bunch of other times coming up in the next two months to get together in person – including small group gatherings and a meet-up at a brewery

All these gatherings are opportunities to practice and gear up for our big shared return to worship on Sundays in person, starting September 19th for Water Communion.

Looking forward to seeing you Sunday on zoom at 9 am, and then at the church Sunday afternoon for our Open House!

With love,

Gretchen
